Procedures & Payment Terms
These are the things that happen in order during the creation of your website.
- The first thing you will need to do is reserve a domain name.
This is something you should do yourself so that your domain is in your
personal name. We suggest someone like GoDaddy.com.
Simply go to the site and search the name you wish to use and see if
it's available. Some names can be reserved for as little as 99ยข for the
first year. Careful who you reserve it with as some sites charge $30 to
$50 for the next year. Normally this should only be $10 to $20 per year.
- Decide where you want your site hosted or simply put, the server where your website pages will be uploaded to show to the web. If you are going to have your site hosted with our affiliate server, contact us beforehand and we'll give you the "nameservers" address to point your domain to. This tells the web where to look for your site. This information can be changed any time but can take from a few minutes to a few days to propagate through the web so that your site can be found. Unless you need some sort of massive site, our hosting usually runs from $5 to $9 per month.
- Then go to our Online Interview Page
and give us your information. We'll get back to you within 24 hours
with a cost proposal for the site you wish to create. If you plan to
host your site with us, your first year hosting cost will be included
in our price if you pay your total cost in full with a 50% deposit when
we begin and the balance when we are finished to your satisfaction.
Our Payment Terms & Subscriptions
Here at DBJ we realize that you may be in need of a quality website in order to increase your business. Yet your business may be in need of revenue in the first place or you may be just getting started in business. So we have programs to decrease your initial investment for your site and let you pay over a period of time so you can begin increasing your business profits. Since most people need help with their new site, our Clients also enjoy our support, training and site updates for their new website during the subscription period.
After we agree on a price to create your site, we'll send you an email invoice for the total cost of your completed site including all aspects discussed. Your total cost (excluding domain name and hosting) will be divided into 6 equal payments. We will then email you a link to create a 6 month subscription with our secure payment processor PayPal. You'll need to make your first payment with your PayPal account, credit or debit card or checking account. PayPal will then process your subscription payment each month. The only other requirement is that you use our hosting affiliate.
Let alone being more convenient for you to pay for your new site, this also insures your site is finished to your approval and you receive the attention you need to be a trained and responsive website owner.
